Hayden and Madeline’s story is so unique. They’ve known each other since junior high and eventually started dating! During a previous trip to Hawaii, the two hiked the top of the Lanikai pillbox, and there Hayden proposed. When I asked the couple why they chose to elope, their response was quite simple: they didn’t want the stress of planning a big wedding, couldn’t see themselves saying their vows in front of a big crowd, and didn’t want the expenses that come with a big wedding- it just didn’t feel like them!
Getting away and eloping in Hawaii sounded perfect to them, especially since this is where they got engaged. Eloping gave them the freedom to focus their undivided attention on each other and the special day they chose to tie the knot. This couple has planted roots in Hawaii, and I couldn’t be happier for them!
Elopement Session Details
The couple wanted their elopement to portray a coastal feel while still having a mix of mountains, beach, and rugged cliffsides. We had the most beautiful morning as we stopped at multiple corners of Oahu to capture the couple’s love in its raw form! Their elopement was not only fun, but it felt completely stress-free. Madeline’s dress is stunning, to say the least! The delicate lace detail through the bodice is even better in real life- and the dress outlined her shape perfectly. She kept her bouquet simple by using one with dried flowers to relieve the worry of them wilting, and to get to keep as a momento from their day.The groom kept his attire very classic with a black tux and white shirt. Needless to say, this couple takes the cake for achieving a stress-free session filled with real, raw, and passionate love. Cheers to Hayden + Madeline!
