Kai + Lucy’s North Shore, Hawaii Elopement

black and white shot from below of the bride and groom holding hands and laughing at each other

This summer has been a whirlwind!! It seems like I’m shooting a new session every two days- I can’t complain, though; there’s something about the summer months that give photos a unique charm. Many may also see the summer as wedding season- usually the busiest time of year for photographers! With elopements scheduled left, right, and center, I can’t help but get giddy because I have SO many photos I want to share with you guys! This special North Shore Hawaii Elopement is too dreamy not to post. Lucy and Kai love film photography, and opted to add on the 35 mm film photography to their elopement package. The images you see in this post are a hybrid of both mediums.

North Shore, Hawaii Elopement Details

Lucy and Kai are the definition of a picture-perfect and easy-going couple! Both are Utah natives and are big lovers of the great outdoors and anything outside (but let’s be honest, living in a state with a plethora of stunning scenery of mountains, canyons, and rock climbing- who wouldn’t want to be outdoors 24/7?!). The couple wanted a simple Hawaii destination wedding that kept an intimate vibe by only having immediate family attend. Lucy and Kai’s two favorite hobbies are hiking and camping- which is why it seemed fitting for them to elope on Oahu’s North Shore. They wanted a trip full of adventures, memories, outdoor activities, and most importantly- zero stress for their wedding day. Eloping in Hawaii means that their family can be there for their special day, and make a vacation out of it, and enjoy a honeymoon afterwards with just the two of them. Lucy and Kai were amazing to get to know and work with, and I’m ecstatic to see where life takes them.
